"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." - Jesus
Meetings in Nonduality (Advaita) with Jeff Foster
"I am not a teacher. This is not a teaching. This - if it is anything - is a sharing of something that's already intimately known, but rarely spoken of.
If you're sick and tired of seeking and suffering... if you're exhausted from a lifetime of trying (trying to perfect yourself, trying to make your life work, trying to awaken, trying to become something, or even trying not to try)... if you're here in a spirit of openness and friendship, and ready to hear of another possibility, then welcome. Perhaps something said here will hit a nerve. Who knows.
If you've come here to argue, to be right, to know, to get something for yourself, to intellectualise, to teach, then you will probably leave disappointed and frustrated. For this message is about openness, friendship, love - the end of separation. The end of the you-versus-me game. A plunge into the Unknown... a falling into the Miracle that is life itself. It's a sharing, between friends, of something that is really too intimate to talk about.
If there is a readiness to hear of a new possibility, then welcome to Life Without A Centre..."
About the Meetings
These meetings are very friendly and playful, and there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions, if questions arise. And of course, if you just want to sit in silence and listen, then that's fine too. Whatever happens is always appropriate.
In a playful atmosphere of absolute and unconditional acceptance, there can be a resonance, a recognition, a knowing which is beyond all words, beyond all concepts, beyond all thought. It is a direct confrontation with your own absence... an absence which is finally revealed as a perfect presence, a life without a centre. And in a life without a centre, in the space where a solid "person" used to be, what may be found is an ease, a lightness, a joyful, child-like innocence and spontaneity, a life living itself. And it's not a new state - it's a clear seeing of what's always been the case. But it's nothing that a seeking mind could ever hope to find. See you there!

"Beyond the words, something else is happening, and it’s too extraordinary to talk about, really. These meetings aren’t really meetings at all: they are bonfires, in which all the questions of the mind unravel and burn up, leaving only the wonder of what is. Really, nothing can be said about this burning, because even the attempt to talk about the burning burns up in this! And yet, words continue to come, and life continues to unfold, and it’s quite clear that we are not in control of this astonishing dream world, and that we are constantly being embraced by Oneness, in each and every moment, from cradle to grave, and beyond..."

If there is a readiness to hear this message, you may find yourself coming along to our Retreat in beautiful Greece. And in a playful and relaxed atmosphere of absolute and unconditional acceptance, there can be an energetic resonance which is beyond all words, beyond all concepts, beyond all thoughts, beyond time itself…
It is a directconfrontation with your own absence... an absence which is finally revealed as a perfect Presence, a Life Without A Centre. And in this clear seeing, in this Openness, in the space where a solid "person" used to be, there is now only ever ease, only ever lightness, simplicity, spontaneity. Only a life living itself, effortlessly.
This rare, revolutionary message points to nothing less than absolute freedom, right here, right now. Welcome to the end of the spiritual search.
This retreat is part of the Kalikalos 2008 summer school. Kalikalos offers workshop holidays and living-in-community guest weeks in a rare unspoilt region of Greece, as yet undiscovered by foreign tourism. Located near spectacularly crystal clear beaches this is the area where, according to legend, Cheiron Centaur, founded one of the earliest known healing schools– Home of the Healing Arts - on Pilion mountain. Three miles from the Aegean sea in mainland Greece near the touristic island of Skiathos, Kalikalos follows Cheiron’s ancient tradition with a summer programme of holistic workshops, retreats and alternative holidays with a difference…
Info
The retreat will follow pretty closely the usual rhythms of this Centre. Before breakfast we anticipate a few participants and/or Centre staff will offer stretching, Qi Qong, Tai Chi or Hatha Yoga. From about 10am to 1 pm we will meet as a group to discuss whatever questions arise and whatever clarifications can be made about our concepts of liberation, awakening, and enlightenment. In the afternoon Jeff will be available for 1-1 interviews. Please remember that each of us will be on the dinner cooking rota (6pm - 8:30pm) and the dinner clean-up rota (approximately 9:15pm — 9:50pm) once during the week. Altogether, you will be expected to do about 4 hours of community work in the week. This, and leaving our rooms as clean as we found them on arrival, is our very minimal “Karma Yoga” for the week! On some evenings, we will meet again as a group from about 6 - 8pm before dinner. The retreat will have a relaxed, informal and friendly feel, and there will be much laughter, silence and many entertaining question-and-answer sessions.
Costs
The workshop price shown include meals and accommodation in a double room (hotel shown in photo below). There is a £100/ €150 supplement for a single room and you may be housed in the village, a 5-min walk away. We may offer a £20/ €30 reduction for a tent occupancy providing that you bring your own tent, sleeping bag and towel. We welcome non-workshop guests and families with children. The guest rate is £175/ €250 per week which includes accommodation, meals and daily transportation to and from local beaches. Children (age 6-12) pay half price. More information on the Kalikalos website (see below).
How to Book
A £100 / €150 euro DEPOSIT (refundable, less an 8% service charge, up to 30 days prior to your workshop) reserves your place. A limited number of places are available, so book ASAP!
More information and SECURE ONLINE BOOKING via KALIKALOS website:
(select "Jeff Foster Retreat 19-26 Sept" from WORKSHOP menu if you get lost!)
Please note, you will need to arrange your own travel to Greece. Lots of very helpful information can be found at the Kalikalos website (see the "Maps and Travel Info" page)
You should aim to arrive at the retreat centre between 2:30—6:30 pm on the Friday so that we have time to register you before the evening's activities.
We strongly suggest that you pay the full amount for the retreat before arriving in Greece. Once in Greece, you can pay the full amount in cash - but bear in mind there is very poor access to cash machines there. Unfortunately you cannot pay by cheque once in Greece.
Once you have booked it would be great if you could email Jeff to introduce yourself!

Please get in touch if you would like to help arrange a nonduality meeting with Jeff Foster in your area.
"Beyond the binary oppositional structure of language, beyond all dualistic and paradoxical notions of good and evil, self and no-self, beginning and end, light and dark, God and the devil, Heaven and Hell, Nirvana and Samsara, duality and non-duality; beyond all mind-created isolation and separation and fragmentation, there is this, the undeniable simplicity and utter obviousness of this moment, in which everything presently arises, including the idea of the "person"...
